WASHINGTON, D.C., July 21, 2022 - Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, announced today that partner Joe Ostoyich has been inducted as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), an invitation-only trial lawyer honor society, continuing the firm’s long tradition of trial court excellence.

The LCA’s Fellows are recognized for “excellence among American litigation and trial counsel.” Membership into LCA is limited to 3,500 Fellows, a number that represents less than one-half of one percent of lawyers nationwide.

Mr. Ostoyich joins firm partners Michael Calhoon and Peter H. Kang, who were previously inducted as Fellows of the LCA.

Over the course of his more than thirty-year career, Mr. Ostoyich has been lead trial counsel in dozens of antitrust price fixing and monopolization cases, representing some of the world's leading companies. He also represents parties in merger and non-merger investigations by the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, the European Commission and government authorities around the world.

Mr. Ostoyich is member of the firm’s highly-rated antitrust practice group, which is regularly ranked among the top firms in the world for antitrust litigation and merger control work.  He is also a member of the Antitrust Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a regularly sought-after speaker at industry conferences and client retreats.
