Overview

Sam Kassa's practice focuses primarily on patent litigation and counseling in many fields, including: satellite communication systems, mission-critical communications systems, network protocols, digital media distribution and management systems, real-time applications, databases, digital security and cryptography, cloud computing and parallel processing, transaction processing, industrial control systems, vehicle-to-grid technology, consumer products, data encoding, and electrophotography and toner cartridges.

He has litigated cases before U.S. District Courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC), and has assisted clients in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB). He also has experience counseling clients in the government contracting space on issues related to identifying, protecting, and delivering intellectual property and technical data.
