Overview

Jon Lobb focuses on U.S. federal income planning and transactional tax matters. Jon regularly advises multinational companies in the energy and telecommunications sectors. His tax planning practice focuses on maximizing the tax efficiency of cross-border investment structures and transactions, including intercompany restructurings. His transactional practice includes domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, liquefied natural gas (LNG), oil and gas, and other domestic and international energy projects, financings, and securities offerings.

Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Liberty Latin America – agreement with Phoenix Tower International to monetize for $407 million approximately 1,300 mobile towers sites in Panama, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands 
  • Liberty Latin America – pending $256 million acquisition from DISH Network of wireless spectrum assets and prepaid mobile subscribers in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
