Jim Marshall designs sophisticated M&A transactions for some of the world's leading corporations. He partners with energy and telecom clients to find the right path for each particular opportunity - balancing risk, structural challenges, conflicting regulatory environments and other cross-border hurdles. Jim also uses this holistic approach when advising clients on corporate governance and securities matters to help companies execute on their identified strategies.

Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Liberty Latin America Ltd. in the acquisition of Claro Panama’s operations from América Móvil S.A.B. de C.V.
  • Liberty Latin America Ltd. in the formation of a joint venture with América Móvil S.A.B. de C.V. to combine their respective Chilean operations
  • Liberty Latin America Ltd. in the acquisition of Telefónica S.A.’s wireless operations in Costa Rica
  • Transocean Ltd. in the formation of a joint venture with a private equity group and an affiliate to acquire, own and operate a new-build harsh environment semi-submersible rig, and the subsequent acquisition of the remaining interests from the joint venture partners.
