Overview

Nolan McQueen is a registered patent attorney who works on a range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on complex patent litigation.

Nolan has experience in patent litigation, patent prosecution, and post-grant review proceedings. He has represented clients in intellectual property matters in federal district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the United States International Trade Commission.

Before joining Baker Botts, Nolan clerked for the Honorable Alan D Albright of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and helped manage one of the country's largest patent dockets.

During law school, Nolan was a judicial extern to the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn in the Northern District of Texas. Nolan also served as a Lead Articles Editor for the SMU Law Review Association. As a Tsai Scholar for the SMU Tsai Center for Law, Science, and Innovation, Nolan drafted articles covering the Federal Circuit for FedCircuitBlog.com.

Before becoming a lawyer, Nolan held software development intern positions at General Electric. At General Electric, Nolan developed software for their Aviation division.

Outside of work, Nolan enjoys time with his wife and daughter. As a former collegiate and competitive cyclist, Nolan also enjoys cycling and running during his free time.
