Overview

Liz Singleton is Special Counsel in Baker Botts' Environmental, Safety & Incident Response Section. She advises clients on environmental risks and requirements in all types of transactional matters. Using her broad knowledge base across diverse environmental media, Liz provides clear and practical advice on complex environmental issues, highlighting risks and helping clients to evaluate the business implications of the same. Clients appreciate Liz's responsiveness, efficiency, and commercial approach to environmental matters.

Liz's practice has also included compliance auditing, due diligence investigations, and remediation projects. She counsels clients on environmental enforcement and compliance matters, as well as permitting and regulatory matters. She has represented clients in administrative enforcements actions and Superfund cases, and supported litigation on a variety of environmental issues in civil matters, including toxic tort cases.

Liz advises clients from a wide variety of industry, with an emphasis on the energy (traditional and renewables), chemical, and financial/insurance sectors.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Liz practiced environmental law at another international law firm in Houston.
