Overview

Margot Vogels is an associate in the Antitrust and Competition Law practice and advises on all aspects of EU competition law. She has experience in various industries, including life sciences, digital markets and technology, manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Margot was an associate at a competition law boutique firm in Brussels. She speaks English and French.

Experience

  • Assisting a global renewable solutions company on antitrust and global merger control requirements in relation to the divestment of several production sites.*
  • Assisting a global water solutions company in its bid to be approved by regulatory authorities as a suitable purchaser by the European Commission.*
  • Assisting a global technology and consumer products company in the preparation of position papers to the European Commission's public consultation in the context of the review of the Vertical Block Exemption Regulation and Vertical Guidelines.*
  • Preparing and delivering tailored competition law compliance trainings and conducting competition law compliance audits.*
  • Advising companies in relation to a wide range of competition law issues arising in the context of cooperation agreements (e.g., licensing, information exchange, R&D, joint production) or the operation of distribution networks in the EEA.*
  • Advising companies and governmental entities on various regulatory issues (e.g., Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, P2B Regulation, GDPR and Open Data Directive).*
