Overview

Avery Walke advises clients in energy regulatory proceedings, investigations and transactional matters before state public utility commissions, federal courts and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  She is experienced in a wide range of electric and natural gas regulatory matters including administrative litigation, regulatory compliance, and project development transactions. Avery also has experience in working with clients on renewable energy transactions including wholesale and retail behind the meter arrangements and power purchase agreements. 

Avery provides guidance on emerging energy issues, like the proliferation of data centers and cryptocurrency mining, the Inflation Reduction Acts Investment Tax Credits for energy projects, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) voluntary carbon credit derivative guidance.
