Overview

Sarah Zhang, an associate in the firm's Antitrust and Competition Practice, represents clients in a wide variety of antitrust matters. Her experience includes merger advocacy before the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice, complying with government information requests and consent orders, conducting antitrust risk assessments, and advising clients on antitrust compliance. She also has experience in antitrust and other commercial litigation, including private Sherman Act and Lanham Act litigation.

Sarah has represented pro bono clients in pardon petitions, immigration matters, and landlord-tenant disputes. During law school, she served as a Senior Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, and provided pro bono tax assistance to indigent members of the local community. Prior to law school, she worked as an accountant in accounting firms and at one of the largest banks in Canada, with experience in both auditing and corporate tax.

  • Represented UnitedHealth Group in various strategic acquisitions, joint ventures and other long-term business relationships. 
  • Represented RWJBarnabas Health, the largest health system in New Jersey, in its acquisition of St. Peter’s Healthcare System.
  • Represented Shell, Liberty Media Corporation, and PepsiCo in various mergers and acquisitions. 
  • Represented the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy in defending Sherman Act and Lanham Act claims brought by PharmacyChecker.com.
  • Represented H-E-B in conducting internal antitrust risk assessments on H-E-B’s pricing practices, exclusivity agreements, and practices related to real estate.
  • Advised ConocoPhillips on its antitrust compliance program and drafted corporate antitrust compliance documents.
