US, EU, and UK Antitrust Enforcement During the COVID Crisis - Your Questions Answered
Antitrust enforcers in the U.S. and throughout Europe are reacting differently to the ongoing COVID crisis, with some announcing a largely “business as usual” approach to enforcement while others are introducing policy changes fundamentally altering the enforcement landscape.
These developments raise questions for companies engaged in cross-border transactional activity, those trying to navigate potential policy changes, and for in-house lawyers increasingly receiving questions from the business relating to “go-to-market” strategies in light of the crisis.
This webinar focused on key antitrust topics, including merger control, competitor collaboration, “excessive” pricing, distribution and allocation, and State aid issues. We are fielding COVID-related counseling questions on many of these issues on a day-to-day basis on both sides of the Atlantic, and this webinar was an opportunity to answer some of those questions.
Our speakers included Tom Fina (Washington, D.C.), Catriona Hatton (Brussels), Erik Koons (Washington, D.C.), David Cardwell (Brussels), and Leigh Hancher (Brussels).
