Baker Botts’ Global Projects Team Advises BP in Sale to Harvest Alaska

HOUSTON, December 22, 2020 - Baker Botts L.L.P. announced today that BP America has completed the sale of its midstream Alaska business to Harvest Alaska, including BP’s ownership in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and TAPS operator Alyeska Pipeline Service Company.

In August 2019 BP announced it would exit Alaska, selling its business to Hilcorp Alaska and its affiliates for a total consideration of $5.6 billion. The sale included BP’s entire upstream and midstream business in the state.

The Baker Botts team for the midstream closing was led by partner Dan L. Mark, and included Robert Phillpott, Katie Belleville, Branden Lankford, and Thor Fielland.
