Overview

Janie Kilgore is an associate in the Washington, D.C. Environmental, Safety and Incident Response practice at Baker Botts. Prior to joining Baker Botts, Janie served as in-house counsel to the largest renewable fuels producer in the world. Her experience involves developing regulatory and legislative positions on climate, environmental, and sustainability matters at the federal, state, and international levels. She advises clients on environmental compliance, federal grant applications involving renewable energy, and environmental justice. Janie also works on renewable and low-carbon energy development.

Janie graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center where she was the Secretary of the Environmental Law Society. During law school, she served as a law clerk for the Wildlife and Marine Resources Section of the U.S. Department of Justice - Environment and Natural Resources Division and the Crosscutting Policy Staff in the Office of Civil Enforcement of the Environmental Protection Agency.
