Overview

Steve Mann's practice focuses on the representation of both public and private companies in complex commercial and cross-border matters, with a particular focus on those relating to:

Information Technology: software, licensing, distribution, integration and development transactions, whether on-premises, cloud-based, or virtualized

Outsourcing: managed services relating to critical business functions such as IT, human resources, accounting, product manufacturing, and logistics

Data Commercialization and Analytics: “big data” analytics platforms and the acquisition and sale of related datasets

Emerging Technology: pharmaceutical research, joint development arrangements, including the treatment of inbound and resulting intellectual property

Data Privacy and Security: compliance with, and conducting transactions subject to, privacy laws and regimes such GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, and NYDFS regulations

Complex Manufacturing: manufacturing and acquisition of assets such drilling rigs, commercial aircraft, custom components and related equipment

Corporate Transactions: acquisitions, divestitures, investments, and similar matters relating to the above

Prior to entering law practice, Steve worked for a leading technology company as a software systems architect and program manager overseeing the integration of acquired companies.
