Matt Savoff is an associate in Baker Botts' Corporate group. Mr. Savoff focuses his practice on the representation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies, as well as public and private companies, founders and management groups, in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity financings, and securities law matters. He also represents companies in connection with general corporate and business matters. He has represented clients in various industries in both U.S. and cross-border deals, including technology, media, sports, entertainment, software, healthcare, services, data centers, and consumer products.

  • A blockchain software technology company in the acquisition of a multitude of targets in the blockchain and cryptocurrency spaces.
  • A major semiconductor company in the acquisition of a multitude of targets in the artificial intelligence, digital media streaming, voice and vision technologies, the Internet of Things, and autonomous driving spaces.
  • Generate Life Sciences and GI Partners in connection with the sale of Generate Life Sciences to an affiliate of CooperCompanies
  • Jasper Therapeutics, Inc. in business combination with Amplitude Healthcare Acquisition Corporation.
  • Represented Fitness International (formerly LA Fitness International) in multiple acquisitions.
  • GI Partners in connection with the acquisition of LightEdge, a leading provider of colocation, cloud and managed service solutions
  • Represented Compass Group Diversified Holdings in connection with the acquisition of Marucci Sports, a manufacturer of baseball products.
  • Parallax Capital Partners in its acquisition of the Erwin data modeling business from CA Technologies and its investment in Neulion
  • GI Partners in connection with the acquisition of Blue Stream Fiber, a provider of gigabit-speed broadband, as well as video and voice services to residential and commercial customers.
  • GI Partners in connection with its majority investment in American Residential Services
  • Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC and GI Partners in connection with the sale of Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC to an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P.
  • Represented Verogy Holdings, LLC, a leading, vertically integrated solar developer, in the sale of a minority stake in its business to a fund managed by CarVal Investors, L.P., and a joint venture involving the potential acquisition of up to 500 megawatts of solar and battery storage projects throughout the United States.
