Natalia Zuleta focuses her practice on international disputes, particularly investment treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration. She has experience in investor-state arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and international commercial arbitrations conducted under the rules of the International Chamber of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the American Arbitration Association/ International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA/ICDR).
Natalia focuses most of her practice in the Latin-America region and is a native Spanish speaker. She obtained her law degree from Universidad del Rosario in 2016 and her LL.M. from New York University (NYU) in 2019.
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Natalia worked in the investment arbitration practice of a Washington, D.C. law firm, representing a Latin American State in five arbitrations under ICSID rules.
Natalia also previously worked in the Latin America practice of a New York law firm, where she advised clients in the oil, gas, and construction industries in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations.
After finishing law school, Natalia practiced at a law firm in Colombia, where she focused on commercial litigation and arbitration. She represented clients in both international and domestic arbitrations, including the enforcement proceedings of a foreign arbitral award before Colombia's Supreme Court. She also handled litigation cases before local courts, representing multinational corporations involved in commercial and public law disputes.
Natalia was also an intern at the Embassy of Colombia in the United States, where she conducted political, economic, and legal analysis to support the Embassy's divisions.
