LONDON, June 9, 2022 - Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology and life sciences law firm, is proud to have been recognized at the Thomson Reuters TrustLaw Awards for our pro bono work for social enterprise Smart Air Impact, which sells accessible and affordable air purifiers in Asia to help protect people from air pollution.

 

The TrustLaw Awards celebrate groundbreaking pro bono projects undertaken by legal teams on behalf of NGOs and social enterprises in the TrustLaw network.

 

The ceremony, which was held on Wednesday 8 June in London, was opened by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Antonio Zappulla OMRI, who highlighted that the total value of free legal assistance facilitated through TrustLaw since 2010 now stands at $225 million USD. 

 

The firm has been involved with several TrustLaw initiatives on a pro bono basis since 2019. Dallas based IP partner Kurt Pankratz and associate Emily Felvey have worked on several matters obtained through TrustLaw, including the intellectual property consulting and trademark prosecution matters for Smart Air.
