HOUSTON, May 6, 2024 – Baker Botts partner and firmwide energy litigation practice group co-chair, Bill Kroger, has been elected to Houston Grand Opera’s Board of Directors.

Kroger, who also serves with special counsel Chuck Campbell as General Counsel of the Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts, grew up working at his family’s music company, Parker Music, in Houston, where he developed a passion for the arts that has followed him throughout his legal career. Last year, Kroger’s pro bono work with Baker Botts partner Roger Fulghum, who teamed up to represent Susannah Nix and the McCormick Estate on the compilation and release of music drawn from the fabled blues and folklore archives of the late Robert “Mack” McCormick, led to two GRAMMY® nominations.
