Connica Lemond is a staff attorney with a focus on labor and employment law issues. With over twenty years of litigation and counseling experience, she has a broad base of knowledge on topics ranging from individual and business immigration issues to federal contract compliance matters. She has worked with both private industry clients as well as with municipal governments and has litigated and arbitrated numerous cases on behalf of clients to successful outcomes.
Connica has had extensive experience litigating misclassification cases relating to overtime under the FLSA, pay equity and pay transparency issues, and has provided practical approaches to her clients on compliance matters in this field.
Working as an in-house attorney and HR Director for a federal contractor, Connica honed her experience on compliance-related issues and business immigration law. Through her representation of former clients, Connica has experience addressing complex issues such as Davis-Bacon requirements for construction-related federal contract recipients, as well as the multitude of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) rules and requirements that come with federal contracting. She has also counseled clients in the medical, education, and hospitality industries.
