Dr. Lu (Sophie) Yan serves in the Intellectual Property Practice of the firm's New York office. Dr. Yan's practice includes patent litigation, intellectual property due diligence as well as patent prosecution.

Dr. Yan has extensive experience in the field of materials sciences as well as chemical and biomolecular engineering. Dr. Yan's prior research focuses on developing advanced materials with improved structural and physical properties for applications in the next generation lithium-ion batteries.

During law school, Dr. Yan served as a Notes and Articles Editor for the Fordham Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law.

Dr. Yan first-authored a number of peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals in the field of materials sciences during her Ph.D. research.
