Golar LNG Partners LP (“Golar Partners”) and New Fortress Energy Inc. (“NFE”) announced today that they have entered into an agreement and plan of merger under which NFE has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common units and general partner units of Golar Partners for $3.55 per unit in cash, for a total purchase price of $251 million. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval by the holders of a majority of the outstanding Golar Partners common units, the receipt of certain regulatory approvals and third party consents and other customary closing conditions and is expected to occur in the first half of 2021.
