DUBAI, April 26, 2024 – Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology and life sciences law firm, has been named Infrastructure and Energy Projects Team of the Year at the Law.com International Middle East Legal Awards, which took place on 25 April in Dubai.

The team received recognition for its representation of industry-leading chemical manufacturer Air Products and Chemical Inc. (Air Products) in financing the world’s largest carbon-free green hydrogen production facility, the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project, with a total investment value of USD 8.4 billion.

The award is the second acknowledgment of the team’s work on the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project, following a similar recognition at the British Legal Awards 2023.

A cross border team of Baker Botts lawyers in the Middle East and the UK, led by global projects partner Stuart Jordan, advised Air Products on all aspects of the ground-breaking development, which included the joint venture, offtake and EPC contracts. NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is an equal joint venture by ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM Company.
