Deal description: Novacap, a leading North American private equity firm, announced today the successful acquisition of Cadent, a leading provider of platform-based converged TV advertising solutions. This partnership marks the fourth investment by Novacap TMT VI, LP, a telecom, media and tech-focused private equity investment fund. New York City-based Cadent has rapidly transformed from an early leader in cable and broadcast aggregation to one of the largest independent platforms for unified audience targeting across connected television (CTV), traditional TV, and digital advertising.
Baker Botts advised Novacap in this leveraged acquisition, including on the financing provided by a group of lenders led by Royal Bank of Canada, The Toronto-Dominion Bank, and The Bank of Nova Scotia.
