Deal description: Baker Botts represented Repsol US Renewables, LLC (“Repsol”) in its binding agreement to purchase ConnectGen LLC (“ConnectGen”), a Quantum Capital portfolio company with a development pipeline of onshore wind, solar, and battery assets with an aggregate nameplate capacity of 20 gigawatts located across the United States. The base purchase price for the sale is $768 million.

Current ConnectGen employees, including senior management, will provide continued leadership of the acquired business.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2023.
