Baker Botts represented Repsol US Renewables, LLC (“Repsol”) in the closing of its acquisition of ConnectGen LLC (“ConnectGen”), a Quantum Capital portfolio company with a development pipeline of onshore wind, solar, and battery assets with an aggregate nameplate capacity of 20 gigawatts located across the United States. The base purchase price for the sale was $768 million. Baker Botts advised Repsol in the negotiation of the binding agreement for the purchase of ConnectGen in 2023 and subsequently assisted with obtaining CFIUS and other regulatory approvals necessary for closing. 

Current ConnectGen employees, including senior management, will be integrated into Repsol Renewables North America, Inc.’s business.
